The Sonna Etienne Foundation is premised on the belief that sustainable development, through access to quality education by everyone, holds the key to solving problems. Without development, there is no stability to talk about and no peace to sustain. As such, we need to give marginalized communities financial, skills development, and technical support for their own development, and help them to plan and execute development projects
Our Mission
Sonna Etienne Foundation’s mission is to foster, develop and nurture Sonna Etienne’s social vision and development priorities throughout his lifetime. We do this by helping underserved communities move towards economic welfare, building stronger education systems that will provide education or life skills to everyone, supporting access to quality education as a recognition of youth’s enormous potential and the right to a better future and providing them with the skills they need to recover, chart their own path to self-reliance and become first accountable to their growth and development in a globalized context.
As such, our organization aims at supporting communities, private and public stakeholders at leveraging coordinated responses to address critical issues such as employment, healthcare, education, welfare, good governance, agriculture, leadership, economic opportunities, peace and prosperity, thereby eliminating dependency and conflicts. In this respect, our programs and projects will coalesce around giving people the chance to gain the skills and knowledge they need to uplift themselves.
The Etienne Sonna Foundation is organized, and operate, exclusively for the charitable purpose of improving the basis infrastructures through basis needs such as electricity, water and education starting in Cameroon, West Africa and to be expand across the globe. At the operational level, the Foundation renovates schools, build and maintain wells and water boreholes to provide clean water to the population of undeserved communities and offers school supplies and scholarships to elementary, high school and university students.
